Retrospective: Designs for Interactive Installations for The Peninsula Hotel Tokyo

Nearly ten years ago, while pregnant with my little girl, I was working on one of my favorite projects in my career. Back then, I used to design interactive installations, interfaces, and animation movies with my company, enexc&Co. This project was to design an interactive visual wall for the hotel’s restaurant. The installation is music, weather, time, and mood sensitive and automatically generates ambient imagery to fit the atmosphere in the lounge. The imagery is connected to the interior design of the restaurant and the stories related to Peninsula Hotels’ heritage. I had the pleasure of working with the best animator team from Sankaku Studio to create this unique project.
